Mr. Trump, You Need To Watch Frozen

Who can forget the lovable Elsa, Ana, and Olaf in the classic Pixar movie, Frozen? Also, "Let It Go" is probably playing in your head right now. Well, at least it's playing in mine. Whenever I think of Elsa's empowering soul-searching power song, I can't help but think of President Donald Trump. Yeah, it kind of ruins Frozen for me too.

Anyways, I think of Mr. Trump and his never ending rivalry with Barack Obama.

During the election, Trump would not lay off of his demands of having a birth certificate from Mr. Obama. When he got the birth certificate, it was obviously a fake. He continuously criticized Obama's policies, ethics, golf trips, pretty much anything he could harp on about.

Fast forward to after Mr. Trump has transformed into President Trump, he is still criticizing Obama. When he pardoned the turkeys at Thanksgiving, he found a way to bring up his rivalry with Obama. He cannot forget the past, realize that he's won the election, and LET. IT. GO. Mr. Trump needs to let go of the past and focus on HIS future. People do not care what happened a year ago. They care about what's happening right now.

If Trump was truly doing his job in the White House, would he really bring up Obama's previous shortcomings or is he compensating for his poor work ethic? My mom always said that when you point your finger at someone else, you have four pointing back at you. Why point the finger? Or do we really have a child in the Oval Office? By the way, he's still demanding the birth certificate.

    #LetItGo... there are so many other things to worry about.. such as the things going on in Libya with slavery, Puerto Rico being with out power for almost 70 days and not to mention NORTH KOREA has missiles?

    His agenda setting is not exactly prioritized.

    I agree! I think President Trump is very defensive. His ego often gets the best of him. On the contrary, I feel as if this "consistently bringing up the past" and "aggressive tweeting"is all part of his persona he has created and now has to keep up. Hilarious post by the way. I love how you bring comedy to politics.

Take a Sip and Let it Steep

I walk to the kitchen, fill a tea kettle with water, and set it on the stove to begin the boiling process. I grab a mug and have a bag of Earl Grey ready to submerge. As I wait for the kettle to beckon me back to its presence, I turn on my television to the evening news. President Donald Trump has caused outrage from some and praise from others for his words at a Press Conference. Political riots and protests are occurring across the country. Congress is cutting funds from some program and giving endlessly to others. My mind is bombarded with constant outcries from opposing sides. Sit Down, Mr. Trump

As I said in my first post, I'm not one to ever talk about politics or share my opinions about what's going on in D.C. However, recently, if I scroll through my news feed on Facebook or turn on the news, the phrase "President Donald Trump said..." makes me stir my tea and take a big gulp as I prepare to find out what he's said. Today, a transcript of a telephone call between President Trump and the Phillipines President was released stating that he was bragging about two submarines off of the coast of North Korea. I almost spit my sleepy time tea out as I wondered how Mr. Trump thought disclosing this information was the right thing to do especially since now the positions of those subs are compromised.
